As some of you know, March is my birthday month and it has been a great month indeed. March 4th was my 22nd birthday and I got to have a whole weekend of 'Amy time'. If you don't know what 'Amy time', it is the greatest concept ever. Basically, my family and friends get to do whatever I want for the weekend. I say jump, and they say how high? Get it? Just kidding. I'm not that big of a brat...
But it was a great weekend, my mom, sister, brother, and sister-in-law all came to CS to celebrate me. Bristi and Cody arrived first on Friday and I took Bristi to enjoy the marvelous froyo that is Spoons. Cody, as usual, was being boring, and didn't want ice cream. I'm thankful for a sister-in-law that love ice cream as much as me! My mom and sister arrived around 6 and then we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Wings N More. My cousin Tori even stopped by to say hi to the fam. We then went back to my apartment and had yummy cake! That about sums Friday up...we're pretty chill.
Saturday, we went to watch some Aggie men's basketball as they beat the hell outta tech. My mom, Cody, and Bristi left shortly after that, so Mandy, my friends, and I headed out to dinner at Cheddar's. We just hung out for the rest of the afternoon and this bring us to our Northgate experience. Northgate is an Aggie tradition that you have to do at least once before you graduate. It is a row of bars in CS and I had been legal for a year and have still never gone. So of course, I had to go for my 22nd birthday. We decided to go early at like 8:30 and beat the crazy crowds that usually show up around midnight. Besides, we are all old people at heart who like to be in bed by 11. We ended having a great time! It is a really fun experience if you go with your good friends, and thankfully no sleazy guys messed with us. I even got to meet up and hang out with some old high school friends. So in the end, even though that's not really our scene, I had a great time and I'm glad I got to experience Northgate before I graduate.
I forgot my camera, so I had to steal these pictures from Emily and Hillary, thanks!
My great friends: Emily, Jessica, and Rachel
My amazingly beautiful big sis! Thanks so much for taking me!
Some of my high school friends I ran into: Kirsten and Hillary. It was great seeing y'all!
