the one with the parties

I am in a Christian sorority at A&M, and throughout last semester we had several parties. You know, the Jesus-loving, kool-aid drinking, good clean fun parties. They are a lot of fun, and this post is just to show pictures from them. So it's kind of dated, but I wanted to share the fun I get to have with some really cool girls.

Fall Retreat:
My covenant group: me, Bravo, Allison, & Courtney

KB, Allison, and I

We got to go sledding on Mt. Aggie! So much fun! I highly recommend that everyone do this at least before they graduate.

Open Party:
My little, Carrie, and I with Casi creeping in the back.
Casi's awesome face, Stephany, me, and Carrie
Some of my favorite kids! Clint, Stephany, Cristy, me, Casi, Carrie, and Michelle
The group again in the pumpkin patch

Halloween!
Carrie and I with the Phi Lamb letters
 Watching those Rangers play ball
The classic jumping picture: Michelle, Brooke, Cristy, me, and Rachel
This is an awesome picture, everyone has to admit that. Brooke and Michelle playing cowboys and indians, and Alane & I in the background.

Initiation:
My little pledge becomes an active!
Cov Love: Allison, me, and Bravo

Date Party! (Decade themed: I was the 80s)
(Old) Roomies! Rach, Jess, and I with our awkward family photo pose
These are some of the best friends ever!
Kevin Samuel, my date, and my great friend from high school!

Christmas Party (and a great excuse to wear a onesie!)
 Cristy, me, Michelle, and Rachel
 JenGrib is awesome

Rachel and I showing off our onesies!

I love this picture! It describes us.
Sarah and I, bible study buddies

I know most of you don't care about this post, so sorry! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

the one where I catch you up

Wow! So it's been quite a long time since I have blogged and for that I am sorry. I hope you all didn't give up on me! I promise I'm going to try to be better at it. It is just so crazy around here with wrapping up college and trying to figure out my future. Busy and stressful, and I am ready for it to be finalized, but that's the funny thing about life...it never turns out how you plan it. That is definitely one thing God has been trying to teach me lately, trust in His plan. I am so bad at it, because I am such a planner and I just want it all figured out. But God always seems to be throwing me a curveball, so let's keep praying that I can be patient and rely on God to show me the way.

Anyways, really few things happened since my last post. I finished up my 7th semester of college and am now in my last one! I had christmas break, where my family and I went skiing in New Mexico. I came in second in our family's Bowl Mania competition on espn.com. The Aggies lost the Cotton Bowl to LSU...that wasn't fun. I took the GRE, and thankfully made a good enough score to get into grad school. But then over the break, I made the decision to put off grad school for a year, and hopefully I'll be teaching this coming fall. I traveled to Dallas and Houston over the break, and then just hung out with my mom at home. We had 3 family Christmases, took some family pictures, and I guess that's about it...

Oh wait! The biggest thing that happened to me was on December 4 at Songfest, which is a song/dance competition for organizations at A&M. Are you prepared to blown away? Because it's pretty darn legit....ok I got to meet former president George H.W. Bush!! How sweet is that?! He and Barbara came to the event and during intermission, I decided to be brave and go introduce myself, shake his hand, and take a picture with him. It was pretty amazing. Yes, please be impressed. Here is the picture I took with him.

And so that about sums up what events have occured since my last blog post. I'll be back soon with more! Enjoy your weekend!
